If you’re a Bakery Bears Patron, then you’ve probably already seen me help Kay and Dan kick off #sockoween2022, a new and hauntingly fun KAL for our Patreon subscribers.
If not, then now’s your chance to subscribe and join us in knitting all the Halloween socks. Come on - we know you’ve got some festive colorways floating around in your stash!
All you have to do is:
Be a patron
Start knitting (or crocheting) a pair of Halloween socks
It’s a super simple way to have some seasonal fun with your fellow crafters, especially this time of year where we naturally get the bug to knit all the things. There’s something about the coziness of fall that gives me a massive case of Start-itis, where I then have piles of WIPs sitting around all summer until the next fall rolls around.
I’ve cast on a pair of Moss Eccles socks in the colorways “Trick or Treat” and “Grinning Cat” by Momma Jess Knits and have already made loads of progress. A friend of mine (and fellow patron) and I met up at a local coffee shop on Sunday for all the pumpkin drinks we could consume and knit away for a solid chunk of hours to the point I was easily able to finish the first sock last night and start on the next sock’s ribbing this morning before work.
I plan to finish up this pair by the weekend so I can share pictures with you shortly - which means my plan of making these a plane project for our trip to New Orleans is a bust. Looks like I’ll need to wind up more Halloween yarn - oops, haha.
Anyway, if you’re not a patron but still want to see all the fun stuff we’re working on, then follow our hashtag over on Instagram or check out the chatter thread on Ravelry.
Hope to see you there!
