I am once again asking for someone to restrict my access to SALs.
I can’t stop. I think I’ve signed up for something like five Halloween SALs this year and I’m not sure how many Christmas ones. I probably won’t even get to those until next year, considering I need to get started on all my Christmas gifts for the season, but I guess I’ll be more than occupied in 2023. I also guess my goal is to litter our walls with Halloween art.
That’s apparently going to take some time - not just because I’ve got a ton of these going, but because my latest start (this Halloween Crystal Ball from Tiny Modernist) is going to take approximately forever for me to finish thanks to the fabric I chose.
They recommended 32ct linen and… well… here we are, with a piece that I keep telling people has more mistakes in it than my first marriage.
I’m absolutely getting better, so at least there’s that, but I have such difficulty finding the squares I need to stitch into. I’ve been stitching in hand lately, too, but that has proven to be a better option with Aida for me. So back into the hoop this project went once I realized it would be all sorts of FUBAR if I kept going at the rate I was.
Anyway, the second clue of this guy is already out, and it’s almost time for the third (and I think final) clue to be released, so we’ll see if I even get there before Halloween. I’ve got at least two stitches I need to start for Christmas, not to mention other crafts, as well as those Christmas SALs.
That means I’m probably not going to finish the Under the Sea SAL I’ve started, either, but I suppose it’s possible. I’m working my way through a Mill Hill kit as we speak and want to have that finished before I leave for my work trip next week, so I might revisit that soon… except that I also have the Touch of Magic Halloween SAL to catch up on.
So like I said… I need to stop and it might take an intervention. Any takers?
